Cars—and later, motorcycles—have always been an important part of my life. From an early age, my passion was evident, beginning with MG-themed wallpaper in my childhood bedroom. My father developed an interest in sports cars while serving in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950s, spending much of his free time attending road races and SAC Air base races when road racing was stopped after some incidents. A gallery of his photos from these events is featured on this site.
Growing up with a true automotive enthusiast who spent most of his career in the industry, it was only natural that I developed a similar passion for cars and racing. We regularly attended vintage racing events at Road America and Blackhawk Farms, where I began taking photographs with a film camera. This interest continued into my twenties and gradually shifted toward motorcycle racing, as I focused on capturing the bikes and riders I admired.
My dedication to photography grew significantly with the advancement of digital cameras, which allowed greater creative freedom without the expense of film and processing. Drawing on my background in electronics and computing, I built this website to showcase and share my work. This site is the result of that long-standing passion—a personal project dedicated to documenting racing events and sharing them with fellow enthusiasts, drivers, and fans.
While social media has become a popular platform for sharing photography, I remain committed to maintaining a curated collection of images from the events I attend. Most photos on this site are identified by a “DSC_xxxx” filename, which can be used for reference. If you are searching for a specific image, you may also provide details such as vehicle make and model, car number, or driver information, and I will gladly search my archives.
I regularly attend events at Road America, Blackhawk Farms Raceway, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Not all of my photographs are published on this site, so please feel free to contact me if you are looking for a specific image.
